What was changed?
Added LICENSE file to the repository to clearly define the terms under which this software can be used, modified, and distributed.
Why was it changed?
The project did not previously include a license, which could lead to legal ambiguity regarding the use and distribution of the software. By adding an MIT License, we can provide both freedom for others to use the software as they wish and protection for the project contributors.
How was it changed?
Copied the MIT License from here and added it to a LICENSE file in the root directory of the repository. The MIT License was chosen because it is simple, permissive, and commonly used in open-source projects, making it a good fit for our needs.
