The package contains functions to evaluate the adequacy of the models stasis, random walk, directional change implemented the paleoTS package (Hunt 2006). Whether a particular model represents an adequate statistical description of a time series of phyletic change is evaluated using parametric bootstrap routines and summary statistics.
