This script turns Caps_Lock into Ctrl in keyboard shortcuts but do not change Caps_Lock behaviour in taps (press & release).

You can add this script to startup applications list.

Prerequisites

xmodmap
xcape

Notes

You may need to re-run this script after connecting/disconnecting monitor(s), suspend/resume and when keyboard map gets remapped by some applications.
