- In a two-dimensional grid world, each square represents a cell that is alive or dead. The life or death of a cell in the next moment depends on the status of the eight adjacent squares.
- If there are too many living cells nearby, the cell will die due to lack of resources, but if there are too few living cells nearby, the cell will die due to loneliness.
