Does the lib support Server Sent Events for streaming?

I have been trying to get it to work for a day, I have exhausted all my ideas, even after deep diving into the code it seems like there's no support either an easy way to get it working

I'm going to take a shot at this. The websocket (upgrade) code is a similar concept I think that could be leveraged.
