I'm not familiar enough with Alibaba or KOMMA to comment on those, but Pinto is a refactored version of the engine that renders beans to RDF and back again. Whenever I find the time I'll re-integrate Pinto into Empire to replace the now outdated code. You'd use Empire if you need JPA integration, and Pinto otherwise.
