Maybe something like a "poke" feature could also work, where you click a poke button and it notifies the other user you poked them (poke notifications could be turned off in settings). Open to similar suggestions. |

Suggesting a new status that lets your friends know you want them to message you, like "I'm bored and looking for things to do". Sort of the opposite of the "do not disturb" status.
