A flurry of updates to the dashboard in the last few weeks from @smeijer.
Web Push Notifications
We continue to improve web-push notifications. Please see #140 and #132 for some more context on the direction for this feature.
Remove support for Safari proprietary push protocol from the "subscribe to push notifications" dialog. Starting from version 16, Safari supports the Web Push protocol. Users will be shown a message to update their browsers, when their browser doesn't support the web standard.
API Keys and HMAC settings are now located on their own settings page.
Integrations
The channels page has been renamed to "Integrations".
The toggle to enable/disable channels has been removed from this page. Channels are now enabled/disabled by adding them to the "smart delivery" sequence.
Disabled providers are now decorated with a
disabled
label. This makes it clear which providers are enabled without having to go to the provider settings. Some providers have been renamed. For example "Safari APNs" is now "APNs", and "Firebase FCM" is now "FCM".
Smart delivery
The smart delivery page is now reponsible for enabling/disabling channels.
Channels without active providers now show a warning. Please add providers via the Integrations page when an error pops up. This also includes when the Test provider is used for the email channel.
Other improvements
Added response object to log detail sidebar
Visually separate active push subscriptions from discarded ones.
push-subs.mp4
Useful page/tab titles
Added status indicators to all submit buttons
Show the browser name for active push subscriptions on the user detail page.
The email layout editor has been restored. People can now edit their email layouts by entering html.
