In order to characterize sequences better the amino acid sequence should be annotated at the feature level. For example: locus: HLA-B term: exon, rank:2 amino acid sequence: KYGNP... . Also need to annotate the position in the mature protein.

I'm interested in contributing to this project - we have some code that was developed independently to assign amino acid polymorphisms where we could perform cross-validation.
