Dependency was added in #195. I'm using https://github.com/rails/propshaft, and they seem to conflict (getting boot error).

Yeah unfortunately this library is quite old and was designed to work with sprockets. If you are able to make it work with propshaft, a PR that allowed you to use either one would be welcome.
