GitHub Bookmarks

GitHub Bookmarks is a chrome extension which lets you bookmark repos on GitHub you may want to get back, privately. You could just start the repos you want to get back but we star many repos to appreciate them and often we search for the repos we want from the big bag of starred repos. Hence, You can maintain bookmarks for repos you are working on or want to get back with this extension. 😄


Installation

  1. Clone the repository or download ZIP and unzip it. Directory chrome extension holding the manifest file can be added to chrome as an extension in developer mode.

  2. Open the Extension Management page by navigating to chrome://extensions in chrome.

    • Alternatively, open this page by clicking on the Extensions menu button and selecting Manage Extensions at the bottom of the menu.
    • Alternatively, open this page by clicking on the Chrome menu, hovering over More Tools then selecting Extensions
  3. Enable Developer Mode by clicking the toggle switch next to Developer mode.

  4. Click the Load unpacked button and select the extension directory.

Usage

  • Click on (un)bookmark button on the top right corner when you visit a repo on GitHub. bookamrk demo

  • To view all the bookmarks, click on the extension's icon in chrome's toolbar.
