Revit Workshare Quick Start

Overview

RevitWorkshareQuickStart is a Python script designed to enhance the workflow for Autodesk Revit and Revit Worksharing Monitor users. It allows you to open both applications simultaneously with a single click, streamlining your start-up process and improving your productivity.

Requirements

• Python 3.x installed on your system.
• Accurate paths to WorksharingMonitor.exe and Revit.exe set in the script.

Setup

1. Clone or Download the Script: Clone this repository or download the script to your local machine.

2. Configure the Script: Edit the script in a text editor and adjust the paths of WorksharingMonitor.exe and Revit.exe to match their locations on your system.

3. Batch File Creation (optional): To facilitate a double-click run, you may create a batch file that executes the Python script.

4. Shortcut Creation: Generate a shortcut for the Python script or the batch file for easy access. You can place this shortcut on your desktop or any preferred location.

Usage

Simply double-click the shortcut to concurrently open Revit and Revit Worksharing Monitor.

Troubleshooting

• Confirm the installation of Python and its addition to your system's PATH.
• Verify the script's paths to WorksharingMonitor.exe and Revit.exe.
• If encountering permission issues, consider running the script or batch file as an administrator.
