Clearly showing which features of the Hack language are only available in hhvm 6 has become more important than ever. With the latest blogpost oss-update behind us, it is clear that building from source will be a requirement to both stay secure and to get access to the new features. For those of us who have stuck with hhvm 4.168, standing by for release1, it has become unclear which documentation applies to their version.

If this sentiment is shared, I'll retroactively add this information to documentation commits made this year. Would such a PR be accepted?

Footnotes

  1. I am making an effort to move away from hhvm 4 to hhvm 6. Anyone who has managed to build something recent, I'd love to know. I can truly use all the help I can get.
