is this extension being maintained? I hope so, it would be incredibly useful!!

At https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T227826, it's mentioned that it should be moved to a Wikidata organization, which I guess is https://github.com/Wikidata .

And there is actually already a fork there: https://github.com/Wikidata/WikibaseImport/ , with some fixes incorporated.
