Usage Tracking and Analytics for Code-Connected Components

👋 Hi Figma team,

We're actively using Code Connect to integrate our design system components with Figma, and it's been incredibly useful for our development process. As we scale up our usage of Code Connect across our organization, it’s becoming increasingly important for us to track its adoption and usage.

Specifically, we’re interested in the following:
The ability to track how and when Code-Connected components are being copied, pasted, and used within Figma projects. This could include metrics on component usage frequency, adoption rates across different teams and projects, and trends over time. An analytics dashboard that provides these insights would be incredibly valuable for us to monitor and optimize the use of our design system.

Having these features would provide us with valuable insights into how our design system is being used, help us identify areas for improvement, and ensure we are getting the most out of Code Connect.

Is there a possibility to include such tracking and analytics features in a future update?

Hey @siddharthkul! Thanks for the feedback, this is something we're thinking about though not actively working on at the moment.

Please could you provide some context on which analytics would be most valuable for your team?

Hey @slees-figma,

Any analytics around code-connect would be welcome, in particular:

• number of times a component was viewed in devMode
• number of times a code-connect area was interacted with by a user: copied, selected, hovered (maybe impressions is a better word?)

I understand there is a dashboard to see component instances across our company, it would be great to see similar stats for code-connect.
