Precision issues?

In a couple of places, we introduce real numbers and then round in some direction. For example, in Shintani.m in ShintaniRepsOfTrace. I wonder if we shouldn't be cautious and always round in a favorable direction, then check if the required exact condition (trace) is satisfied. Perhaps in other places, we should check this carefully.
