Clarification of a recently closed issue that I believe should still be open

Hey @tim-finnigan, I opened #4197 that you closed, but I think it should still be open. The issue that you linked to when you closed it is about the metadata field missing from the RetrievedReference objects. The issue that I opened highlights that the retrievedReferences field in the Citation object is an empty array or the attribution field of the PayloadPart object is missing entirely even though it uses the Knowledge Base.

To me those are separate issues, both of which I'm interested in following. If those are the same issue, could I get some clarification on how those are the same?

Hi @wadebev11 - thanks for highlighting those distinctions. I think what you're describing may overlap with #4197, and the ongoing work on Bedrock's side might address it. But to confirm I created a separate issue in our cross-SDK repo (aws/aws-sdk#777) and I'll reach out to the Bedrock team regarding the behavior you reported.
