Extract data from header, e.g. coordinates or global attributes

The header could contain information that you would want in the NetCDF-file.

Examples:
The asci file we get as output from the SD200W software (CTD specific software) contain the time for the cast in the header as follows
Started : 12.okt-2007 - 09.34.25

The lat/lon coordinates might also be part of the header

I also see great advantages at being able to extract other attributes, like global variables from the header.
