Hi,

I'm looking for a typed typescript GPX handler (reader, writer) for my app and got to this repository.
I've noticed from the docs that routes are not handled.
Also I'm curious as to why not exposing extensions as a xml to js object and let the library client decide what to do with it...?
I'd be willing to submit a Pull Request if need be.
