First appearance of the mimblewimble document [0] was publicly made on Freenode IRC in #bitcoin-wizards [1].
A user joined the IRC room and posted one Tor address [2] with the following message:

The user called him/her/itself "majorplayer" and joined on 2016-08-02 UTC the IRC server [1] left a message and quit all within one minute at 04:35 UTC. [3]
