Why are OBV and ADL values different between systems? #433

OBV and ADL results are a cumulative value based on an original start date. The absolute values are somewhat meaningless; really, you'll only look at the shape and direction in your analysis. To get a true comparison to other systems, you'd have to know the specific start date of each comparative calculation series.

OBV and ADL absolute values can be confusing if you're trying to compare to other systems with a "hidden" start date. You'll notice they are not identical between StockCharts and TradingView, for example.
