Feature request: filtering

being able to test different filters in the time series and then apply the most appropriate one(s) to
the entire array would be a major feature for me.

Seems like you are looking for some kind of temporal smoothing.
At the moment I do not plan to integrate this into the plug-in but it would definitely be a useful addition.
I have to polish the existing features first before adding any more sadly, but I can definitely see it as a feature for the future.

For now I would suggest you use the napari console to generate an additional layer, with smoothed signal as explained by Peter. This way you can display both layers in the plot for a similar effect.
