Glossary

  • Action Menu: Menu that contains Show Map and Sort and can be accessed from the dot icon in the top right corner of the screen after logging in.
  • Emotional State: A display of how the user is feeling and is chosen by the user from a limited set of emotions (displayed via emoticons). This is a mandatory field.
  • Follower: A user account that is following the current user.
  • Followee: A user account that the current user is following.
  • Followee Moods: A list of the most current moods of all the user’s followees. Followees: A list of a user’s followees.
  • Mood: A collection of fields which together describe how the user is currently feeling. A Mood consists of the current date and time, mandatory emotional state, and optional addition of a reason, social state, Mood Location and Mood Photo.
  • MoodList: The list of moods that the user has felt sorted in reverse chronological order.
  • Mood Location: The geolocation of the user when they felt that particular emotional state. This is added optionally.
  • Mood Photo: An optional photograph that can either be uploaded or taken by the camera and is associated with a particular emotional state.
  • Reason: The user’s reasoning for why they feel a particular emotional state. This is an optional field.
  • Social State: The type of social situation the user is/was in when they felt the emotional state. The social state is selected from a list of generic options presented to the user. This is an optional state.
  • Sign In: the process of signing in an existing account with their unique Username and Password. Once they sign in successfully, they can access their stored information.
  • Sign Up: the process of creating a new User Account. Once User sign Up, User can Sign In.
  • Sidebar: Menu that fills the left side of screen containing My Moods, Followee Moods, Followees, Follower Requests, and Send Request. Accessed by pressing the white triple line icon in the top left corner of the screen after logging in.
  • Send Request: Screen view that allows a user to send a request to become a follower of a different user.
  • Sort Mood: An option available for users to only view certain mood(s) in their mood history or their followee mood history.
  • User: A person who uses the application. Each user has a unique username and email required when they sign up.
  • User Profile: The main page for each user containing the data associated with said user. This includes their MoodList and username. Users are allowed to modify details in this page.
