ROG Ally freezing fully when trying to boot PS2 game through emulation station

Hello, if anyone knows a fix that would be greatly appreciated. I downloaded a ROM of Sly Cooper 2 band of thieves and added it to my emudeck. I then open emulationstation and it shows up. When I launch the game, my entire Ally freezes and I have to force hard reset. Very weird and cant seem to figure it out.
